NOTES BY ADRIAN: Ukraine immediately says it was a Russian cruise missile. The next day, US & Poland say it was a Ukrainian S-300. My “Bullshit Alarm” was blaring at full volume.

First of all, most SAMs will either disarm or detonate when it has not acquired a target and has exhausted their fuel. This is because you’re usually firing SAMs from deep within your own territory, to defend your cities, bases, and infrastructure from air/missile attacks. You don’t want them falling back onto your own territory as bombs.

The S-300 can be programmed to detonate on impact with the ground, but that would not be standard. Why would Ukraine program the missiles to do that, if they’re launching them over their own cities? That makes zero sense. They would absolutely set them to self-destruct after their maximum range was exceeded in order to protect their own population.

Interesting coincidence: Why would a stray SAM hit exactly at a rail line? What are the odds?

Let’s do the math. There are 149T square meters of dry land on Earth. There are just under 2B square meters of railroad track on Earth. So, only 0.00013% of the land surface area of Earth is covered by railroad tracks.

That means the odds of a missile randomly falling out of the sky onto a railroad track is roughly 75,000:1 or 1 chance in 75,000. The odds of it actually hitting a rail car (or a vehicle appearing to be a rail car) on a railroad track are difficult to calculate, but I estimate around 1 in 100,000,000 or more.

Another interesting coincidence: There is a major rail depot and UAF fighter base at Danylo Halytskyi International Airport in LVIV within a half-kilometer longitudinal coordinates: 23°55′19″E This exact location had been previously targeted by Russia. One more interesting coincidence: The Antonov Aircraft manufacturing plant, maker of military cargo and transport aircraft, is located EXACTLY on the same latitude – to the second – as the missile strike location in Poland: 50°28′28″N This factory and adjacent airfield have been previously targeted by Russia. If you draw a line due west from the Antonov Aircraft Factory in Kyiv, and another line due north from the rail depot next to the fighter base at Danylo Halytski International Airport in Lviv, those two lines would intersect at exactly the location in Poland where the missile struck. The odds of this being a coincidence are astronomical.

Russian cruise missile targeting is most likely programmed manually by a small group of IT personnel from the Main Computation Centre of the General Staff (GVC) facilities in Moscow and St. Petersburg under the command of Lt. Col. Igor Bagnyuk.

So, if a Russian tech was programming a Kalibr (sea launched) or Iskander (land based) cruise missile to strike the Danylo Halytski International Airport air base in Lviv, OR the Antonov Aircraft factory in Kyiv, and accidentally transposed one of the coordinates, it would land almost exactly (within a few hundred feet) of the missile strike location in Poland.

And, because Russian cruise missiles have optical target identification and guidance systems, it would have visually identified the nearest target of opportunity once it reached its programmed coordinates. In this case, what appeared to be a railroad car on a railroad track. That’s likely why it was off by a few hundred feet.

Clearly, this was a Russian cruise missile. Clearly, some Russian targeting programmer made a data entry error, and mixed coordinates from two separate military targets, resulting in a strike on Poland. Clearly, it was an accident.

Initially, Poland said it was a Russian missile. They have all of NATO’s satellite and radar capabilities at their disposal. They were in a position to know. That’s why they invoked Article 4 of the NATO charter and called an emergency meeting. That’s why they put their military on high alert. They knew it was a Russian attack, and they were ready to go to war and invoke Article 5.

But then the Biden administration stepped in and talked them down off the ledge. They fabricated the S-300 story so they could keep everyone – specifically the Polish people – calm and back them down from war footing. But they needed Ukraine to bite the bullet and also play ball. But Ukraine wasn’t having it…at first.

And this is why Ukraine initially denied so vehemently that it was their missile…because they were telling the truth. And that’s why the US and Poland initially denied Ukrainian investigators access to the missile strike site…because they were lying.

Eventually, though, all parties decided it was best to accept and promote the big lie. The US didn’t want a nuclear exchange with Russia, so they lied to us. Poland didn’t want to go it alone against Russia without NATO, so they lied to us. Ukraine didn’t want to lose all the NATO military support, so they lied to us. The media is either too stupid to do some simple research, or they’re lying to us as well.

And Putin gave a very big sigh of relief. And everyone just moves on.
